A whole day to discuss about the combination of food utilization and energy availability in temporary, quasi permanent, and permanent camps and informal settlements.

The event is organized within the activities of the “Sustainable Energy Technologies for Food Utilisation(SET4food) project, funded by the European Commission (the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department — ECHO) and run by COOPI, Politecnico di Milano and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano. “Set4Food” has taken into account the combination of food utilization and energy availability in temporary, quasi permanent, and permanent camps and informal settlements. Pilot projects and case studies tested in Libano, Central African Republic, Somalia and Haiti will also be discussed and presented.

A whole day to involve associations, NGOs, corporate, foundations and practitioners as well as an opportunity to educate and sensitize the general public reaching Milan during the Expo to appropriate energy solutions for cooking and storing food.
