Palestinian population live a highly unstable reality; and operating in this particular context has become more and more problematic because of the precarious equilibrium. COOPI has been working in Palestine since 2002, supporting Palestinian system of education, as well as by facilitating the establishment of proper links among schools and labour market. From 2006 until 2013, it has expanded its activities to Gaza Strip, mainly intervening in waste management sectors.
It has been working in East Jerusalem through a project supporting education and economic development through technical and vocational education and training. The third phase of the project is currently ongoing and will be completed in 2019. COOPI focused its activities in most vulnerable and social marginalized areas of East Jerusalem, as the Old City.

In 2016, COOPI started implementing Protection programs through the provision of psycho-social support to young adolescents in East Jerusalem, in order to strengthen resilience, as well as reduce trauma and social marginalization. COOPI also plans to launch an assistance program in Shu’fat Refugee Camp in East Jerusalem, during the second half of 2017.
