Haiti Hurricane: donate

On 5th October hurricane Matthew hit Haiti, causing a new humanitarian emergency.

COOPI was in Haiti since the 2010 earthquake with disaster risk reduction projects and we worked promptly before hurricane becoming to prepare population. In Tabarre (a Port-au-Prince) and in Thiotte, we alerted population and coordinated the evacuation of hundreds of families, providing hot meals and safe shelters in schools and churches.

This saved many lives, but now the emergency is for health.

It's important to take action immediately: clean water and kits with disinfectants and hygiene products to stem the spread of cholera. There are 1.600 families that need the our immediate intervention and many are chilldren. We cannot make them wait, think that only 70 euros it is possible to buy a water-softener. Your help is urgent and fundamental.
