What We Do

Building Resilience in Complex Crisis in Yobe state

The European Union funded project "Support for early recovery from conflict and resilience building in Yobe State", implemented in partnership with Mercy Corps and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), aims to increase the resilience to conflict and climate change stress of 26,875 IDPs and other vulnerable groups.

The initiative will contribute to providing humanitarian assistance to the victims of Boko Haram in north-eastern Nigeria, to improving food security by ensuring access to food and supplementary nutrition, to focusing on the prevention of acute malnutrition in children under 5 years of age and pregnant or lactating women, and to providing access to clean and safe water sources.

In addition, to increase the resilience of the population of north-eastern Nigeria, COOPI will contribute to strengthening the market economic responsiveness, facilitating the resumption of trade and increasing productivity.
